William Noguera has been residing in San Quentin’s Death Row since 1988. This is what he does to keep his mind. He utilizes a stippling technique, remember that one from art school, very time consuming, tedious, and takes a delicate patient hand.

Noguera says Art “is not  a luxury for me, it’s a necessity”. His wish is for viewers to see his art not his incarceration. Though this is what interest me and many others, I think, art can transcend bars. William Noguera’s work is on display at the Braunstein/Quay Gallery until June 21st. Check it.
